I thought the same thing at first. But then I realized he/she is not being racist if they're just describing a true pattern they've noticed.

When people say something about a non-white race, even if it's true, why do people think they're racist? And why can people say whatever they want about white people but not be considered racist?

Some folks deserve to have kids and can't. Some folks don't deserve the gift of having children and grossly abuse it. Kind of sad.

I want to be married and am (thank you Lord), and I'd also like a couple more children. The Mrs wants to wait a few years while she's heavy into schooling, so having children is on hold. It bums me out at times...

There are a whole lot of unwanted kids in need of parents, for those who have the means, the talents, and the abilities to be wonderful parents.

I'm sorry to say this but you're selfish. Children are supposed to be a gift and a joy, not a burden. You don't ever hear parents say they regret having their kids do you? But you occasionally hear childless people say they regret NOT having had kids. I personally believe that childless people lead lonely lives later on in life.

Actions speak louder than words, and they say it with their actions.

Honestly, people who feel that being parents would be a detriment to their lifestyles should absolutely NOT have kids. It's a GOOD thing when people realize this (and a better thing when they actually stick to it, and don't end up getting pressured into having kids, or make dumb mistakes and have kids).

And, yeah, parents who have had kids for reasons other than wanting to become parents do say that they regret having kids. My SO's dad (who is a father of four) says ALL THE TIME that he regrets having had kids and never wanted any. It's a really great, really healthy thing for his kids, who span in age from 5-31, to hear, trust me.

COMPLETELY agree

People like that are doing the world and themselves a huge favor by not having kids.

I wish more people who shouldn't have kids would realize it and get a vascetomy or tubes tied.

Any major change in your life right now would devastate you.

Not if the change was for the better.

Or remain celibate.

I don't understand why people like 90sman act like it's a bad thing when someone doesn't want kids.

It's just a preference. Some people want kids. Some don't.

Tabula Rasa summed it up perfectly when she said: detriment to their lifestyles

Kids just don't fit into the lifestyle I want.

I've dedicated my life to making sure I never become a parent
