Wow you would not believe the conversation we had at the dinner table today when I visited my parents' place. It's been a few years since I brought home a woman to meet the family. Today mom asked me if I've tried online dating and what I think of it. I told her I tried it and went out on a few dates with this woman before my last GF (nothing serious) , but that I thought it was better suited for really good looking guys with solid careers or players. Mom then asked me, so do you think you're ugly?

Dad claimed that handsome men don't need online dating sites, they can have any woman they want. He suggested that instead of visiting a site and choosing women one by one based on their pictures, profile, but to instead join group activities and not be on the hunt for a life partner...just go out, meet new people and have fun in social activities. I told him about meetup.com and he thought it would be a good idea to try it out.

Hmmm, what do you folks think about all this? Have your parents ever asked whether you use online dating sites or ask about your love life when you seem to be forever single?

They were just having a conversation about topical options. Must you over analyze every little thing?
