In the last few months I have come across many couples where the woman is 10-15 years younger than the man. Then I found out that my cousin is dating someone who is 12 years older than she is (22 and he is 34). My experience in online dating has been that women are very much against anything over a 5 year age difference, is this much different in offline dating?

Well, most guys like younger, that isn't a breakthrough.
One time I heard something that actually seems to hold a lot of credit for guys. Half of his age, +7 is how old the ideal girl is. Obviously, since that formula isn't sequential, it doesn't mean staying with the same woman??
The difference is they met in person and at that time, he/she didn't look too bad.
People online are usually looking for lifelong relationships, tend to be older and understand big age differences may not be compatible.
example: A 34 year old guy may already have kids and doesn't want more so dating a young girl (unless for fun) won't work in the long run.
I am 15 years older than my wife, she only dated older men. She said she did not want to have to teach a man what she wanted.
My younger brother is married to a woman 15 years older than he is.
We all have our preferences.

i think so.
when i met someone who was at least 10 years older than myself, we could only talk about certain things. it frustrated me because i wouldn't be able to relate or even understand and likewise for the other person. soon after it just became awkward for the both of us.
i don't want to be someone younger than me, but i don't want someone who a lot older than me either. i guess something in the middle is good to balance things out.
Well women love older men and older men love women. It works out. I can't wait when I am 34 dating a hot 24 yr old whom I can't have now because I am not "mature" or richer.
