Apparently the Rapture did happen. I found my son's snake dead in the tank this morning. I have no idea how this happened, he was fine yesterday. So, even the spineless serpent deserves to be taken, but not us.
Oh, MM I'm sorry to hear about Max's snake. Even though I don't care for them (actually scared to death of them ) I still know it hurts to lose a pet.
Sending him a (((hug))).

Thank you so much...We had to create a whole "burial" ceremony with the speech and whole nine yards.
I have learned to live with snakes since I've met my husband. He is a huge reptile lover and ever since we had been together, there is always either a snake or a lizard or a chameleon in our home. I bet, his mind is already thinking of what he would get next. Max is growing up the same way, naturally. I'm indifferent towards them, I find them slightly fascinating but I don't get attached to them.

HA! Talk about your deal-breakers! You are soooo much braver than I am. We had a huge black snake in our yard one day. In the process of my husband trying to run it away, it crawled up under the hood of my Jeep. I didn't drive it for 6 months.
I'm so scared of them, I can't even walk by the tanks in pet stores without feeling faint.
I was gonna make a crack about "big ones", I thought the better of it though.
Actually mrs. chow begged me not to.
