Even though we had terrible rains last night and this morning, we dodged the tornadoes again in this area. Not so for many people close to where I live...over 300 people died so far...

Glad you're ok. A lot of heartbreak for a lot of people, sad for them.

It's horrible! Of course, if the houses were not built like cardboard boxes, they wouldn't have been destroyed...

It's awful beyond belief. I can't believe the pictures. So so terribly sad.

Unfortunately the building codes are specific to each area. Some of what we use up here in the mid-Atlantic, wouldn't pass code down in South Florida. There is no way to predict catastrophic weather...and to expect everyone to build for that is unreasonable. But with the weather we are having this month, I do wish I had a brick home!

We just had some tremendous storms pass over. There was a tornado sighted, a mile north of where my BF lives - that is about an hour south of me.
According to the forecasts, it's going to be on and off ugly until midnight. We are under a tornado watch until 9pm I think.

We lost power at work today for a few hours, and there are some roads closed already due to flooding (and that was due to the wind - not the rain!!), but other than that, it's okay here. Keeping my fingers crossed!

Wow, I'm almost afraid to watch it. We just recently watched both "Everything Put Together" and "Rabbit Hole," both about couples losing their baby or child. I don't know if I'm ready for a third one. I did put it in the instant queue to watch a little while later.

I love Netflix. At this point we only have two movies out at a time and we get to see tons of movies for a reasonable price.
