I'm afraid that seems to be the case. And they love shoving it down our throats.

I'm very glad we wouldn't be friends in real life. I don't think I'd care to play kickball or tag football with you and your adult friends. I prefer to be an adult.

OP, you need to get over yourself.

I'd rather be with a weird sports fan than a weird artsy guy who spends his time looking down on the hobbies of others.

Playing sports to stay in shape isn't a bad thing.

I would rather do cardio and lift weights to stay in shape. It works great IMHO. I'm in very good shape.

I don't have a problem with people playing sports for fun or for losing their fat. It's those annoying people who yammer on and on about sports and dominate conversations with sports jargon to alienate you and to gain positive attention.

Then don't associate yourself with them.

I could fill your brain with tons of football related stuff. I just prefer to have actual conversation rather than me talking to myself.

Sorry but I grew up in a state where everyone is literally the same. And it seems like time hasn't changed anything.

I disbelieve the entire state is the same way.

Or you should just move the F out.

It probably stems from being picked last on the kickball field in elementary school.

Touche. Every time I come across these guys so hung up on football and the various play moves and happenings, I'm like, you fricking idiots

I always knew this is the best thing that's happening in the lives of these people, which is otherwise mired in boredom.

I have an interest in sports too, but I'm more of a highlights guy. My life has too many interesting things to sit and waste before the tv, and it's just football.

I also read somewhere that the rise in unemployment and the worsening economy has increased football viewership. That's the only let off for people unemployed, in debt and staring at a foreclosure. If it makes them forget the dumpster their lives are in, why not
