ive found i had to learn that i didn't need others to know who i truly wanted in my life. and same applies to my happiness. i think clear now that i don't rely on others for happiness

How can you expect to make anyone happy, if you aren`t comfortable and happy with yourself?
You put your selfish reasons for being uncomfortable, and unhappy aside, and try to concentrate on making them happy!
I think many who are unhappy seek out those who are already happy to force themselves to be happy from the other person who is happy only to drain the happiness the happy person once had and who now has become unhappy because of the one that was unhappy in the beginning only to make them both unhappy.
You can't. It's not possible to make someone happy when you yourself aren't happy because you're focused on your unhappiness.
