Being called cute is almost as bad as being called a "friend". They like me but they are not sexually attracted.

Being sexually attracted can develop or progress over time though.

Cute and Sexy are not mutually exclusive in my experience. I thought now Hubby was really sexy when I met him AND cute. He still is both.

Cute has a lot going for it IMO. Cute means sweet and many women like sweet men. I know I do. I love cute.

I love nice guys and "nice guys" often tend to be cute. And being "nice" to me is often very sexy thus cute can also mean pretty darn sexy.

All women are different, for some of us cute is a serious compliment not to be brandished lightly.

I've known both "handsome" and "cute" men. The "handsome" men were often arrogant, self centered and lofty. "Cute", is attractive though not classically handsome, with an approachableness. DH is "cute", and, in my opinion after 32 years, has aged a lot more gracefully than the "handsome" dudes I've known.

It depends on whether the girl you like, likes cute guys or not. I always have and even at my greatly advancing age I can date a cute guy because some men are always cute. Also, as someone else mentioned, cute guys are more approachable.

As a guy, I never liked being called cute. Took it as, "could be friends with, but not date." Not that it matters now, being married. Must have been reading into it the wrong way.

If I am speaking about a "cute guy," that means (to me) that he is on the prettier side of good-looking. It's an offhand comment. Hey, let's go to the beach and look at the cute guys. They're attractive without being too sensual or rugged. They are happy and boyish. A cute guy is usually younger (in his 20s, from my perspective), but older guys can be cute too.

Now, if I am talking TO a guy, I do not call him cute. In my experience, guys don't like that because it sounds diminutive. "Cute guy," as a phrase, is OK.

"He's a cute guy" = good
"You're a cute guy" = good
"You're so cute" = bad

Cute is definitely good. There have been a lot of guys I've been interested in whom I found to be "cute".... sexy is another level for me. To be sexy isn't just about looks, it's a whole lot more that that so more often at first, I'll notice a guy is good looking i.e., "cute".
I'm seeing a guy now I tell all the time he's 'cute' because it's his looks and his personality, just super cute. It doesn't demasculate (sp?) him either, 'cause believe me, he's very manly LOL

I know for a fact being called "cute" greatly diminishes me and harms me and my Brothers the world over. Whoever started this ugly practice, anyway?

I highly object to the "C" word and will take immediate actions to introduce Federal legislation to stop its usage in public areas of assembly, bars/restaurants and within 500 feet of a public school.

The campaign, whose slogan will be "Give Cute The Boot!", will feature such all-star management as Tom Cruise, Brad Pitt and Carrot Top.

Be sure to cast your vote in November and GIVE CUTE THE BOOT!

Cute is a tricky term when it is women saying it on men...it could just be a compliment on a certain aspect and not indicating attraction or it could be a way of saying not handsome/unattractive politely.
