If by "refinement" you mean hillbillies of Kentucky, then I agree!

As ridiculous as "miles an hour" when referring to speed, it's "miles PER hour."

so I just took the trash out, and it still felt like a damn oven outside.

I can't wait for summer to be over.

PF, the heat index here in DC hit 120F today. How was it in Indiana? This **** sucks.

I'm 95% certain that this band, Mastodon, do some really hardcore drugs when they come up with the concepts for their albums:

Quote:
There is a paraplegic and the only way that he can go anywhere is if he astral travels. He goes out of his body, into outer space and a bit like Icarus, he goes too close to the sun, burning off the golden umbilical cord that is attached to his solar plexus. So he is in outer space and he is lost, he gets sucked into a wormhole, he ends up in the spirit realm and he talks to spirits telling them that he is not really dead. So they send him to the Russian cult, they use him in a divination and they find out his problem. They decide they are going to help him. They put his soul inside Rasputin's body. Rasputin goes to usurp the czar and he is murdered. The two souls fly out of Rasputin's body through the crack in the sky(e) and Rasputin is the wise man that is trying to lead the child home to his body because his parents have discovered him by now and think that he is dead. Rasputin needs to get him back into his body before it's too late. But they end up running into the Devil along the way and the Devil tries to steal their souls and bring them down…there are some obstacles along the way."

I don't know what our heat index was down here in Raleigh but it was so flippin' hot! Went to a baseball tournament about an hour and 20 min. away and sat there melting...of course no ho dunk town baseball tourney is complete without mosquitos and gnats...the little fluckers were all over us!

AND...get this...I thought I was going to start a riot...we were not allowed to bring water into the park. Players and umps only, not spectators. It's 102 degrees outside, I thought it was pretty ridiculous and they should have at least let us bring water in.

The kicker was, there was no FREE alternative for water (like a fountain). I asked for a cup of tap water and they wanted to charge me a freakin dollar! Of course I complained and if my child hadn't lost and been eliminated, I was going to call the news tonight and see if they'd take a trip down there to find out why the stupid ass rules.

And then the final straw was when they RAN OUT of gatorade at the consession stand. Ummm...HELLO???? Idiots! So glad we lost!!! I don't think I could take another day at those fields.

Okay rant over. That just pizzed me off. I can understand making a few bucks, but taking advantage of the heat to make a few bucks was low!
