What the hell, is this club in the equivalent of Compton, I've only been to strip joints a handful of times, I've never noticed any bar fights and shyt like that.

Well, I only know Compton as being the "home" of a lot of porn production places / video & mag warehouses, so I get the impression it's a gritty, industrial kinda' area. My area is sort of in the sticks, removed from the "city" proper by several miles. Although we're on the main North/South road on this side of the river, our neighbors are really only places that sell used tires for $25, 2 gas stations, 2 diners (one of which has attached flophousing for transient gas workers) and one convenience store that opens at 6am and closes at 11pm.
We're a town that people just drive through to get somewhere else.
Since my partner has elected to "go cheap" with the business, we've seen an increase (as I predicted we would) of lowlifes. Whereas before, our typical customer break-down was 50/50 blue collar/white collar, now it's primarily the dregs from other bars - the ones that get kicked out and have nowhere else to go. The quality of girls has declined somewhat also; now we get the ones from my partner's other club that are too nasty for them. Not to say we're the worst in the area - there are others that have a worse reputation than we do - but we're not considered #1 anymore.
Add it all up and you get trouble. Maybe it's time for me to move on again ... unlike Mr. Swayze, I can't solve all of our problems with combat Taiji and my boyish good looks.

On the porn front, I think you're thinking of the San Fernando valley in So Cal area. Something like 90 percent of porn is made or produced there.
Compton is world famous for gang bangers and shyt, a lot of rappers talk about it. Which is sorta funny as in the late 50's early 60's is was a really nice suburb of LA. It is now going through another demographic shift as a lot of latinos are moving in a displacing the black population.

re: my partner - that's why I always said I would never have a partner. Should have listened to that little voice, but probably the thought of all that booze and boobs swayed my logical thinking.
