That's why condoms were invented. And I realize they aren't 100% effective, but when used properly they are about 99% effective - which is better than not using protection when you THINK you're in a monogamous relationship.

Sex should really be considered somthing sacred between two people who care for one another deeply.
That's merely your opinion, which does not make it a fact... sorry!

For the record, I don't really believe in casual sex either (at least not anymore) - but I don't begrudge or judge anyone who does. Sex is just an act, and some people take it way too seriously IMO.

Condoms don't do anything when it comes to STDs such as herpes.

How do you figure? That is their whole purpose (along with preventing pregnancy), LOL. If you're referring to oral herpes, condoms protect against that too - or you can use a dental dam. Didn't you get sex Ed in school?

P.S. As I said earlier in the thread, casual sex alone does not cause STDs... even people in (what they believe are) monogamous relationships get those, and casual encounters are essentially as safe if you use condoms. Unless both parties are confirmed virgins, there's always a chance of getting a disease - and pregnancy can happen to anyone, whether it's your first encounter or one of hundreds. Again, that's why birth control was invented! In my 18-ish years of being sexually active, it's worked just fine for me.

Is she your friend or something, who believes that he's serious about her? Or she believes that she's his only partner while he's sleeping around? Or she's about to get an STD, because she's careless? Then you probably should educate her.

There's no condom to protect against a broken heart. I learned that one the hard way .

From your link:

The proper use of condoms during intercourse usually prevents infection.

"Usually" is a vague term. That means more than 50% of the time. Is it 99%, 80%, or 55%?

You want want to read this from my link:

"Chlamydia can be very easily passed on through vaginal, anal and oral sex. Sometimes it only takes close physical contact to spread so it is possible to be a virgin and have chlamydia."
