I kinda had my heart broken a little bit yesterday and I'm looking for something maybe to do alone to get my mind off of things.

I've been around the block and realize I have to move on and I'll be fine in a few days, but looking for something active to do today and tmrw.

Any ideas?

Suppressing my feelings does not work for me break-up wise. Besides feelings always have a way of popping up unexpectedly. It is normal to feel a roller coaster of emotions during a break up. Sometimes you'd think you've gotten over it, next thing you know, you are railing against your ex, next minute you are crying, thinking you'd never love again, next you are happy.

I will be kind to myself during this period. I will also journalize.

A good book to read is Journey from Abandonment to Healing

I always found heavy drinking as well as banging some insignificant barfly to work for me.

Hmm, I went through this quite recently, also- about 6 weeks ago. It's a *****
All I did was try to occupy my time with something- whether working out, getting some new books, or even reading threads here... I did my best to not think about it. Just wait it out- it'll get better

Work out and write a journal. Also, explore! Those things always help me realize that having my own life is a pretty great thing

Only a few days before you'll be fine?

Just twiddle your thumbs and toes.

Heavy duty yard work. You'll be exhausted at the end of the day and sleep well. Tomorrow your muscles will hurt and that will be all you focus on

Just a "minor" heartbreak?

Eat your favorite food, and don`t forget the dessert!
