Dinner date, and then fun after.

To be fair, dinner dates are only as boring as your company. My girlfriend and I's first date turned into a dinner date after I almost made beer shoot out her nose

Then again, if the OP is uncomfortable and awkward around new people, that dinner date could very well turn out to be boring.

This is what I call setting yourself up for a let down. Just go in with no expectation and see what happens. You sound like a very timid individual (or that is what i've deduced thus far from your posts). Folks tend to confuse their online personality with reality at times. You must fight what appears to be a sense of creepiness within you to ensure that this date goes well. Good luck, im rooting for you!! Stranger!!!!

What else is there to do?

It's freezing cold outside and we have to eat sometime.

I'd add she doesn't really drink much, so if you were thinking some liquor fueled Halloween party, not so much...

I wouldn't say I'm timid.

Just more of a wussy/more effeminate type of guy.

Which is why I'm asking for tips.

You can go to a nice Halloween Party plus you don't have to drink jobaba. I am happy for you. Some tips, give her your full attention. Don't be a perve. Don't expect some right away. Kind things such as holding the door and pulling a chair out for her. Some women find this cheesey but let me tell you when it happens to them they like it. Lean in close to whisper something perhaps a joke about someone around you say the waiter....if she leans away(she needs more time to get to know you-or if she leans into you too-means she isn't afraid of closeness). Don't stare at her chest or butt! You may touch her back lightly to say guide her to her table or seat. And the end it's ok to give a hug. But if she leans in for it when your close to her face...go for the kiss. Hope it helps. But remember everyone is different. Good luck.

You may want to expand on the "fun after" section.

Dinner is a fine start. Sometimes dinner is all it takes to establish a connection with someone, but you might want to explain what you want to do afterwards so we can help you from there.

I'm not sure where you live, but I'm pretty sure that it's not "freezing cold" as you say.

Haunted hay ride. They aren't that expensive, and they are fun.

I've already picked something else to do.

Something more interesting.

I don't play.
