He CAN, he just chooses not to.

He'd rather spend time working than spending it at home.

We just will not see eye to eye on this subject and I'm not really going to argue. I like my time resting but I like to work.

Unfortunately, good things often come too late... When I had more energy, more money (lived in an apt), my parents were alive, flying didn't suck so badly, the non-smoking shi*t was more bearable, I was taking a day or two around holiday weekends, rushing to and from effing airports to go somewhere. I used to love traveling! Now... not so much... At least I won't be so stressed anymore about appointments, waiting for technicians, and stuff like that, I can also stay home around Thanksgiving and Christmas, and I can take some other time if there is a conflict around holiday weekends (because you may have it, but you can't always take it...).

Touchy! lol

I'm not saying you are wrong, but if they gave him 5 weeks of vacation he CAN take 5 weeks, he just chooses not to. Semantics.

We don't air travel. I don't like to fly but I do LOVE to drive out to the mountains or the beach and spend a week enjoying my surroundings.

And yup, most of his 3rd week is spent doing household projects, fixing the car...etc.

But 2? God 2 weeks is just too few!
I picked up my 3rd week this year and with these ass clowns I work for you really need a week per month.

Cute song! Istanbul is a beautiful city! I have very fond memories. Eh, the boat rides along the Bosphorus...
