Wrong! I don't need affirmation from strangers on the Internet.

But I think I see what you're saying. The beauty ideal for women of that era coincides with your definition of pretty.

Stunning beauty is obvious and hits you smack in the eye when you see it..Pretty is something where you have to take a second look and you see beauty...a face that is interesting...womanly...some one that does not look like their dad with long hair...sorry - I must have been thinking of Italian woman for a moment..

If you want a general idea of what the majority of men consider "pretty" from a purely physical point of view, then just got to a site like hotornot.com and examine the ratings people assign to the pictures.
