Just yesterday I had a conversation with a female acquaintance. We've known each other for many years and have nothing more than a healthy platonic relationship. She's been divorced for several years and, like myself, is now in a very stable and committed relationship.

We were talking about my ex-wife and her ex-husband. She then told me something that made me want to hug her out of pity and sadness. All I could do was look at her and state, "my goodness, I am so sorry you had to go thru that."

My friend told me that, on the night of her honeymoon, and prior to engaging in intercourse, her husband took her to a XXX movie theater. She told me that, because she had never before had intercourse, her husband felt that this would be a good way to let her know what was in store for her that evening as soon as they'd get back to their honeymoon hotel.

She told me how she cried in silence during the movie. Upon returning to their hotel suite, she was treated with the same course treatment she had witnessed in the movie.

My heart sinks just to think what this darling precious woman went thru. Thanks be to God that she is now in a very healthy relationship and has a very caring partner by her side.

Wow, pretty sad.

Just think how clueless her husband must have been to do that.

Glad she's in a better place now

It seems the new groom began sewing the seeds of his divorce on his wedding night. His behavior was selfish and disgusting and a display of a lack of maturity.

Glad she has moved on to a much better person who respects and values her.

Why didn't she and her ex-husband have sex before marriage? Religious beliefs?

It sounds like she was very young and naive. I'm not saying people should necessarily have sex before they get married, but they should know each other well enough first to be sure something like this won't happen.

I'm glad she moved on from that experience and now has a happy relationship

While that is sad and pathetic that she let him do that, I think this is a good example of really knowing a person (and that includes sexually) before committing to marriage.

She probably would have saved herself so much trouble, money and trauma.

Disgusting. But you know something? So many men actually think the way they do it in porn movies is what women like and if they act like the guy in the movie it will make him a great lover. That she'll be all turned on by him.

Stories like this speak volumes in favor of knowing someone completely before you get married. Too many people out there actually BELIEVE sex is supposed to be like a porno film.

ICK!
