honestly i've always wondered if the number of one night stands on NYE is higher than on a normal friday/saturday night. on the one hand, as you said, there's plenty of booze flowing and a festive mood (but that's not really all that different from any other friday/saturday night), but on the other hand i would assume that more ppl than not are with their friends and sig others anyway...
