So I know I'm posting this a bit early but so be it. I'm a planner.

I was trying to think of something different for my GF for the upcoming day. I know everyone does flowers, candies, etc. I've heard of people naming a star after thier So.

Too cheesy?

Too cliche...

If you want it to be memorable, you need to come up with something personal and heartfelt.

Skip Valentine's Day and do what you love to do for her everyday.

[or as much as reasonably possible]

How about a funny singing telegram at her office?

Or, a delivery person dressed up like cupid to bring her flowers and chocolate somewhere in public?

Those ideas are as cheesy as they come!

What I did for my last guy on V-Day:

Went to Joann Fabrics (or Michael's craft store, etc.) and bought a "chinese takeout" container. They have them with hearts and stuff on them for VD. I counted up the days until VD (you can pick whatever day you want to start), and for each day, I took a slip of pretty paper and wrote on it something different about my feelings for him. Things like, "You are the best thing that's ever happened to me." "I can't wait to wake up with you every morning." "Your smile makes me melt." "The most beautiful thing about you is your heart." I picked song lyrics, things that were special just to us, etc. I put them all in the container folded up and had him open one every morning before work, ending on Valentine's Day.

Cheesy, but a girl would LOVE it!

You are probably in the early stages still, so this wouldn't be appropriate but every year I make sugar cookies and decorate them for V-day.

This year I'm going to decorate a few with naughty sayings on them and give them to him because it basically covers all the bases....food, sex and a thoughtful gift

You could always have some made with little love notes on the, kind of like those candy hearts.

My first thoughts were to but two of them with both our names and make sure they were next to each other. Then tell her something REALLY cheesy like us being together forever type of thing...
