Quote:
"Many people believe that introversion is about being antisocial, and that's really a misperception. Because actually it's just that introverts are differently social. So they would prefer to have a glass of wine with a close friend as opposed to going to a loud party full of strangers.

"Now, shyness, on the other hand, is about a fear of negative social judgment. So you can be introverted without having that particular fear at all, and you can be shy but also be an extrovert."
so so so true

....I like what it says about management and introversion. My favorite boss ever was an introvert and she was awesome. She got things done....motivated people....gave people credit where credit was due.... Executives need to take note here. Get back to basics. I've noticed for years the numerous complaints on how management doesn't seem to know how to treat employees anymore. This could be a clue.

Yes, many people seem unable to grasp the difference between being an introvert and being shy.

I'm an introvert, but I'm not shy. I'd rather be alone most of the time, in fact I NEED to be alone regularly, I'm very private and the vast majority of my pursuits and passions are individual ones, and yet I'm a good conversationalist, I can -and do- have great fun when I'm with people (until I decide it's time to go home because I've had enough), I've always made friends/acquaintances easily and I don't fear social situations.

Very interesting! Im 100% introverted, and all my answers were true in that test. I ve been an introverted forever, and even worried my 1st grade teachers for being so "shy". Shy is always mistaken with introverted. I really dont know if im shy or not, but those statements of that test seem to describe my personality 100%.

Totally. The intj and infj figures here are grossly out of proportion with the statistical incidence in the population. //www.city-data.com/forum/relat...tionships.html
