female friend of mine (we've known each other for about 2 years now, she was my student teacher 2 years ago and we've kept in contact ever since. and before it gets all creepy talk here, i'm 31 and she's 28. she got into education late in the game haha) recently broke up with her bf after really only dating for 3 months. truth be told she and i had been conversing a lot more in the month leading up to her getting taken off the singles market and was actually gonna pull the trigger around the time she started dating this guy...anyways....they just broke up so how long do you wait til you ask her out? i guess since i don't know the details of the break up it's tough to say i mean she may want to be single and that's she did it i dunno. could be way off base here as always haha.

No one knows the answer to this question. We're better off debating the existence of God.
But here are my randomly placed words:
No matter what you do, you run a risk. But it would seem "being the rebound guy" is more workable. It doesn't mean you'll lose her any more than you would by not saying anything and watching her get scooped up by another guy.
By all means, take it slow, and do NOT get sexually involved the first chance you get. (I chose that final phrase carefully, as there's no other way of defining "too soon"). This is all assuming she says yes to...
Oh bother, what were you going to ask her again, specifically?
