I get this text tonight from someone with "NO NAME" which stated

"Hey are you are? I was thinking about you and wanted to know how things are?"

My response...."Who is this?

Then some women have the nerve to get offended when you don't know who they are after 2 months of no contact. Why do women do this silly sh*T? It's not just her, several women have done this

Many people have phones that immediately identify who the sender is when the text comes through. They don't realize not every phone does this.

They aren't trying to mess with you - they probably think YOU are trying to mess with them by pretending not to know who they are

Quit taking everything so personally and you'll be a lot happier

Lots of people do this. Guys call me and just start talking. They seem to assume I have caller ID, but half the time I don't know who they are.

This is not a gender-specific issue.

I update my phone list each month and if it's someone I haven't talked to in 3 or 4 weeks I delete them,

They want you to remember them.

Simple.

I add new contact name to everyone. Guess it's my slight OCD.

Well there you go

Your short attention span makes you the creator of your own problems with this.

You should probably get an AdBlocker for your phone. Porn sites are well-known for being deceptive in the way they target users.

Otherwise, you should probably stop responding to text messages from strangers. If you don't know them well enough to know who they are, they're probably worth less time than making a forum post.
