Its funny because I just turned down a man for being "too old" for me. You just have to stick to your guns and lay it out there why its not going to happen. Eventually he will get the message and move on.
If he's someone you barely know and it took you a minute to even figure out who he is, why do you care?
Sounds like the guy has a gender identity crisis. Calling a woman a "player" must be a symptom of something! Guys generally like being called a player - unless every woman in his small town have banded together to cut him off.
I've never heard of a woman being called a player before. C**k tease, perhaps or a b**l buster - a woman who uses up men and their money, then spits them out. Men may be derisive but they usually come back for a second treatment. They never learn.

It's a rare women who can turn down the young'uns, even if it is only for some pink steel.
He's trying to bait you by calling you a player, knowing you'll be offended and won't be able to resist responding to that. This is a manipulative guy. Don't feed the troll. Ignore him.
Yeah, the player comment was meant to be a compliment.
He probably just wants sex anyway, so the OP should just tell him to go away or that they are a lesbian. :-)
If he persists, after that tell him he is the one who made her the lesbian.
There are women who date guys and make it seem like they are interested in a relationship, when they really aren't. Some date multiple guys at once, and are honest about it, or they aren't honest about it.
In any case, just because it is the woman, and not the man conducting this kind of behavior doesn' mean that they can't have a player label.
Being a player is someone who is not sincere in their actions, etc, regardless of gender.
I don't understand why player HAS to be a male term. I know at least 2 woman players.
And both of them were quite proud of their "ability". God forbid you call them out though, their ego will send them through the roof.
I am curious if the OP's ego is insulted from the player label?
Why doesn't the OP just show their maturity in dealing with a persistant younger guy, and handle the situation as many other posters have suggested?
What made him think you were playing him? Was there something between you two at one point? And I mean more than just going on a couple of dinner dates... I dont think we are getting the whole story.
I don't plan on engaging him; he is very pushy....and I did ignore him.
All of a sudden he is back, so I'm handling this very carefully. And his opinion really doesn't matter, I just found it really perplexing. I'm the farthest thing from a player that you could find.
Ruth4truth I think hit it on the head. He is saying things that make you respond.
That word 'player' means to 'play games.' You could be called 'playgirl' which would be 'pursuiting pleasurable activities.'
You had to have given out your number to him. So now he gets your number and makes a move and now you are pulling back the reins. So to him it seems as though, "here is my number call me." "No wait, I mean, you are too young." "Ok...we'll talk."
You see how that could be registered as that?
I can see you are bent over it because you mentioned "Player" about 3 times in your comments in this thread.
Those are my thoughts.
