I know this will probably be moved but....

I wanted to share this with my Relationship forum friends! I have known some of you for many years and some of you know about all of my issues and watched me grow as well as my children.

My son Alexander will be starting college next month on August 20th and he has a FULL SCHOLARSHIP!

I could not be more proud of him as I am today. He has had a rough road and I have always taught him the importance of education and he has followed that.

It had to be hard for him because his father is the exact opposite of me, and is very against school. He does not believe in furthering education and told me when the kids were little that they would hate me for life for putting them in school early.

They were both premature and were learning disabled and
I was very pro-active, getting them into programs to help, etc.

Now he has done it!

Alexander will be going to college to become a teacher, and I could not be more proud....

Thank you guys for your support through the ups and downs of my story.

Take pride in this moment! It wasn't easy but you did it when many others would have given up the fight!

This news does not surprise me....because he was raised by an excellent mother!

As a recent college graduate who had learning challenges and a father who was not the most supportive of higher education, college will be a lot of work for your son but that labor will be worth it the second he lays eyes on his diploma and knowing he worked hard and sacrificed for it and no one can take it away from him for life.

Congrats and best of everything to y'all!

^^^^ I haven't been on CDF long either, to know you very well, but none-the-less....

CONGRATS!!!!!!!!!! To him, of course, for all the time, effort, and years of hard work and dedication to his education....Remind him to remain dedicatated & focused & he will be able to accomplish ANYTHING his heart desires!!!!

CONGRATS 2 you as well....What a wonderful woman to be pro-active for the benefit of your children, that is what makes a great mama!!!! Despite the condecending comments from their father, you have stuck with it and remained focused on the best intrest of your kids....and it has paid off!! How exciting for our children to not only succeed, but to excel....Way To Go

**Always wonderful to hear good news on CD**
