What do people have against the PUA industry? (romantic, emotionally, internet)

You see other peoples view points as dysfunctional simply because you don't agree with it.
That's possible, but at the heart of PUA is social ineptness, social anxiety for some, insert personal issues from A to Z depending on the follower. That's the whole point of the movement in case you didn't know. Or in case you don't stop to think.
I've never in my life seen a woman sitting on a guy's lap in public transit. I don't think safety regs allow it. Strange example, maybe you could come up with a better one. A guy taking the one seat that's there is just weird. Nobody does that.

seems like a decent example to me. girlfriend in boyfriends's lap can be the preferable choice for both parties. flirty and practical, barring a really long bumpy ride

No, she is definitely right about that. People here read way too much internet. They get all these conflicting ideas in their heads that they read from equally confused people, and try to make sense of it all and come out more confused than before.

I said read too much INTERNET, if you mean books then yeah, no such thing as reading too much. But the internet is full of nonsense pretending to be gospel and it kind of has a way of taking on a life of it's own that is separate from actual reality.

I disagree. You can learn so much about relationships just by lurking the hardcore relationship forums.
Yeah you can, if you have a stomach for it and a strong internal filter. A lot of people will believe anything they read and come away with some weird beliefs.
I agree with this. People can learn about marriage and LTR from people actually in them. From people who have problems getting into and staying in relationships? Perhaps you can learn about the wrong approach, wrong thinking, etc. That's how it was with my folks. They taught me what not to do.
With that said, reading the internet isn't "reading" or the type of reading that lends to intellectual development.
