What are the masculine traits that you like? and any you dislike
Protectiveness, chivalry, the ability to take charge of a situation...Also, I like deep voices. Not like Barry White deep, but Wentworth Miller deep. I could listen to him talk all day.
Well developed arms. Adept working with cars, building things, camping, home repair, etc. Self-confident enough not to be a hothead.
I like these things too.
Able to manage himself like a grown-up. To me this is a "people" quality, not necessarily masculine, but it does separate the men from the boys, as they say.
Does not rely on me for every detail like an extra kid ("When's my dentist appointment?" "Do we have tape?" "I got a ticket because my car tags were expired.")
Yeah, the taking charge thing works for me. Masculine men are a must, but the drawback can be that some of them take it too far and are pigs (that's a whole other issue, though).
Hmm... the one I've realized lately is being emotionally grounded. My husband is my rock. It's something I've always been attracted to in him and it's something that I need. Different people need different things. I tend to get carried away with my emotions - I need him to tell me that everything is going to be okay. And the thing about him is that he knows that everything is going to be okay. When he starts to worry - I know that we really should be worried. Luckily - that doesn't happen very often!
I like men who are themselves. Not men who have a weird need to act hyper masculine to intimidate or impress other people. Not men that try to start fights if a guy 'looks at me the wrong way'.
It's hard to describe, really...
