When I hear a man say that his wife is distant/angry/upset "all of a sudden" I have to chuckle. She's probably been upset for a while and either she's been hiding it from you, or you have not noticed.
I would suggest using a little TLC. Arrange for some quiet time for the two of you to talk uninterrupted - maybe someone can babysit the little one. Maybe have a pleasant meal together, then bring up the topic. Show your concern for her feelings. Let her talk it out with you. She might just be nervous from anticipation, or maybe she just needs reassurance from you. But I'm sure you can work it out together.

You may not have been paying attention!

Get to the bottom of the "issues" that are causing this and agree with her about what needs to be done by both of you to fix the problem. Listen to her; don't minimize; don't blame; don't make excuses.

This flare-up is probably a symptom of a much deeper problem that is pulling you two apart. It's never about the garbage or dishes, or even the kids. It's about you two.

She's got the baby rabies, as PP so eloquently put it.

When I wanted to get pregnant (a long time ago in a galaxy far, far away) I was not open to rational reasons who we should wait. Not even reasons that I had previously agreed upon!

You will have to hash it all out. If your plan can be adjusted, do that!
