It's Friday night, and the "relationships" forum is alive and hopping as usual. Some of tonight's crowd includes a few self-professed "alpha males" or guys who "have game." Or maybe the guys and gals who have made a recent post complaining about not being able to meet a decent person to date. Then again, there are plenty who are in solid relationships at various degrees of commitment and have no reason to be anywhere but at home.
So I just have to know, what is it that is keeping you at your keyboard tonight instead of hitting the town and trying to meet someone new?
I'll start:
I'm married with 3 kids. My wife and I went out to Buffalo Wild Wings tonight, and now that we are home again, the little people have just gone to bed. My wife will likely want to put on a movie soon, but for now I am sort of enjoying the silence. FWIW, tonight could really be any night of the week. We may not sound like a very exciting couple, but we are a happy couple. I'll take happy over exciting anyway of the week and twice on Sunday!
My son and husband are at a baseball tournament (on their way home now) and he was sending me text updates of the games. Usually I go but doggie just had surgery to remove a "foreign body" (shoe insert) from his intestines and he can't be left alone.
The rest of the kids are sleeping. I tried reading but I just wasn't feeling in the mood to finish the book. I've only got about 30 pages left, but I can't seem to find the desire to get to the end of the story.
I'm just passing the time here, hoping to read something profound that might apply to my life. Hasn't happened yet...LOL
I have no cell phone (It took an ill time bath in the sink) so it actually takes a bit of effort to contact me (ya know, calling and NOT texting...) so my friends have opted to go out without me.
