When you start dating someone, how would you know? Do you ask them about this stuff before dating?

of course you dont know until you see her naked. NO, you dont stop and throw her out when u see the bush, but afterwards, if things are otherwise going great, you mention that you prefer a more groomed appearance. Usually, if she really likes you, she is willing to accomodate as its not the end of the world to groom. But if not, then the question was is this something you could tolerate? does it matter to you?
I wonder myself what have "encouraged" overwhelming majority of women to get cleanly shaven (or at least well trimmed) down there. They don't have pubic hair fashion shows on TV for women to pick up the "you must be cleanly shaven" trend. Yet, it has spread like a plague, in 30 years or less, pubic hair got almost extinct. I wonder how that could happen so fast without mainstream media spreading the word. Do people watch that much of new (post 1980s) porn?

Exactly. I guess everyone has their personal preferences, but egads...I wouldn't dump a man because he doesn't shave his balls. She has the right to do whatever she wants.
ps: if the man has a forest down there then why should he tell a woman to remove her hair?

certainly post late 90s porn has contributed but i think it is a result of men being genetically programmed to enjoy looking at vaginas and when its all hair there is nothing to see. when girls started shaving clean i think its the favorable response they got from men that spread like a plague which further fueled the desire for women to be groomed.
That's her hair. She has the right to do with it as she pleases.
true...and the man has the right to bounce....I'm not saying always, but many times if its not kept under control, hygiene issues can occur.
