You could say that of all hair. Does that mean all women should keep leg and armpit hair? Does that mean all men should have long hair and long beards? It has long been the custom for people to groom, trim, or shave hair in various places.
What? The hair? It's suppose to be there. It protects your privates from dirt and bacteria. Obgyn's yell if you go bald. Need some for protection.
no one mentioned bald...its a question of grooming (trim, landing strip etc)...besides i'm not trying to do an impression of a woolly mammoth right about now...
I really think most women would just groom down some if they like the guy, its not a big deal. But if they insisted on a full bush i'd bounce. Even girls that roll with a full bush up top, they usually groom and shave clean down by the vag and anus. again, this hair was biologically there to retain smell and attract males, which isnt necessary in 2013.

I'm sure a landing strip wouldn't protect from dirt and bacteria, but I don't think a bush would either. Unless when you say "protect" you mean that the hair traps it.
Anyway, I agree that women should grow bushes if they want to. It's a personal choice...

True but leg hair isn't totally bad if you lose it. Armpit hair is gross but it probably protects too. Luckily for me I inherent my granddad's gene, no armpit hair. Don't get me confused with others, I do shave the legs and trim the snick r doodle. Hair on the head is basically dead hair except at the roots. So cutting it is actually beneficial for a healthy look.
If a man prefers a woman they want to have sex with to groom, trim or shave her pubic area, then he should be willing to groom, trim and shave his pubic area as well. If he's willing to do the same, then it's a fair request. If he isn't, then it isn't a fair request. Yes, we all like what we like, but people shouldn't expect a person to do something that they themselves aren't willing to do.

That's good because except for the older crowd that style is extinct.

well it wasnt me who said 'protect'..and yes it is a preference for the women to keep the hair...but it is also a preference for their mates/potential mates. I know many women who after having discovered their man doesnt groom are turned off, or refuse to perform certain acts so it can and does go both ways.

I agree with this...but in my personal experience, those who do not like excessive hair on their partners tend to not have it themselves
