Hello strangers! Hope all the moms had a nice weekend. I was able to take a short (by short, I mean 500+ miles) road trip to spend the weekend with my parents. I got to check in on my dad who had a stroke a few months ago. He's doing pretty well, up and walking around and getting stronger every day. I also did a 3+ mile walk for the American Heart Association. I walked it with my uncle, who had a heart transplant just 5 months ago. Then that night, I got to see my niece. We haven't seen her in a long time because we aren't on speaking terms with my sister. All in all, it was a pretty good weekend.

Oh, and we are total foster failures. I really intended to find the beagle a home, I swear! It's not MY fault he's been here almost two years and not one person has been interested.

Trying to nail down some dates with SD to take the vacation I've been wanting for over a year. I hope we can work it out!
