Yes (actually technically separated). She's disabled and has been for a long time. I've been a Spousal Caregiver for a long time. The combination of depression, medications, mood and personality changes, and the actual physical inability have completely destroyed that concept. And, to dispel a myth, married men do NOT ever get hit on, and an affair or a "friend with benefits" arrangement is virtually impossible (when you are trapped at home day in and day out and can't leave, even for brief periods of time, then your chances of even meeting people are very slim).

i know tons of women who have banged married guys. but being trapped at home would prevent that.

I decided to become celibate around 2006. Have been since and I love it...without having to worry about dating and sex I can get so much accomplished. It feels like a big weight was lifted off my back.

Wow, I am really impressed with your commitment to your wife. I am sure it can't be easy doing what you do. Maybe u can get an internet friend just to talk and kind of hang out without leaving home. U have my respect twice over
