Of course I care about his happiness - I find that an odd question.
I won't be happy always making ME happy, it makes me happy for him to be happy. This only works well because he is the same way.

I'm always striving for win win situations because I want both of us to be happy. I care his happiness almost as much as my own. But knowing he's happy makes me happy too.
How could you be in a relationship and not care about your loved ones happiness? I also find this an odd question. My husband's happiness is always paramount in my mind.

Tons of people don't care about their SO's happiness.
While I realize it's completely anecdotal, I do not know a single person in my life that's in a relationship that doesn't care about their SO's happiness. If you don't care about someone's happiness, that's not even a friendship, let alone a relationship.
I guess it's just a completely bizarre concept to me. Much like many of the other posters, my SO being happy actually increases my own happiness and vice-verse.
