Thinking about it, I guess I use them all interchangeably. Except for 'hot'. I don't really say that in description of anyone, it just sounds funny to me.

To me, handsome does not imply attraction. It's just an aesthetic appraisal, like saying a rose is beautiful does not mean I want to have sex with the rose.

Cute and attractive are pretty much interchangeable. They mean I could imagine myself being interested, depending on what his personality turns out to be like. Cute implies some degree of youth; I don't think I would use it for a guy over 40 unless he was very impish.

Hot means very attractive visually, and usually means I have no idea of his personality or whether I would be interested.

Paul Gross in his younger days is what I consider handsome-- Matt Damon is cute-- attractive is whatever floats your boat-- and Johnny Depp is hot.

People usually call me cute, but not hot. In the past I was usually the guy that every girl felt comfortable with, like a brother, but not sexually attractive. I'm guessing it has to do with a lack of genetically masculine features.

You look plenty masculine.

Cute....nice to look at, along with a boyish quality, a twinkle in the eye

Handsome...well dressed, has sort of a movie star quality, like Hollywood leading men of old

attractive...nice face, a more nonspecific, neutral term

hot......has specific qualities I'm attracted to(this could vary from woman to woman), has a nice body

"Cute" is a guy who has a boyish face, soft smile, not very muscular but physically in shape.
"Handsome" is a guy who has more of a distinguished look and the way he carries himself. He doesn't necessarily need to be in top physical shape or be very muscular.
"Attractive" is a guy who is handsome and has a nice body.
"Hot" is when he can make me fan myself while he's wearing a potato sack . For me, this is someone who not only has a really nice looking face, but has the perfect body for my liking (we all have different likes/preferences)..
I agree with your definition

I think cute/handsome/hot are all versions of attractive. "Hot" implies a level of sexuality that maybe isn't as prevalent in the "cute" or "handsome" descriptors. "Cute" is more boyish, whereas "handsome" is more masculine. And all the words are going to mean different things to different people.
