I am a bisexual man, but when it comes to dating women I no longer mention anything about it (loving, cheat)

It used to be I was open about myself dating women once we broke the ice and got more comfortable in conversation. Just about all of these women claimed to be really open minded and "allied" or whatever you wanted to call it. As soon as I mentioned I was bisexual all the sudden the wall came up, and even though I could read their prior body language they didn't want to pursue the relationship any further unless you meant platonic friends. I noticed this pattern from "open minded" young women... so now whenever I date women I just don't mention it anymore. Has anyone else seen this? How do you handle being yourself? I saw this poll that said about 20% of people in this forum are bisexual or think they are. What's the deal anyway, if you're allied you shouldn't have a problem with this.
"Allied" and offering political support to the cause may be one thing, but facing the prospect of being in a loving relationship with someone who at any point could be involved with someone else (essentially making it an open relationship), may be a very different ball of wax.
How would being yourself change anything from how you were acting towards your date? Why even bring up that you are bisexual if you plan to date her in the long term? Is it something that she should know in case you cheat on her with a guy? I mean if you are dating such "open minded" women I bet they are not asking about your past sex exploits. I just don't see the point in telling it right off unless a girl that you are seeing actually asks you what your sexual orientation is. I guess I don't get it.
Bisexual people don't cheat or have open relationships any more often than other people.
It's similar to being attracted to blondes and brunettes. You can be monogamous to the blonde, even though you also like brunettes.
If that's true, why did he feel the need to tell the women he was dating? Who tells their potential gf, "I like brunettes, too, but I'm interested in you (as a blonde) now." Why would it be important to be with an open-minded woman, then, if he'd be committed 100% to her? If they ever broke up, it would be irrelevant who he chose to see next, if his commitment were 100%.

Unless you feel it is absolutely important that a woman you are dating knows this, and you are uncertain if you will wander off with a guy (or another woman for that matter) while you're in a relationship with the woman that you're dating, I'd say this is wise.
[wait until she see your bi-porn stash - then tell her...]
OP, it probably has to do with insecurity that you could go fully gay at any point in the relationship or the thought that you kissed and slept with other men.
I can see their point of view, especially if you lean towards males and change your mind down the road.
Women don't want their guy to end up gay and be dumped for another man! Huge blow to their ego and reputation.

That's Mod cut: Bleep. In this PC world you can't say anything, but having your relationship be an entire lie because that person was faking would be way worse. Unless you were being sarcastic.

Getting dumped is getting dumped.
[who cares for who or for what you were dumped?]
