what are some of the things that had to work through or you wish you knew before you married your spouse or started to live with your SO?
For me it wasn't big things it was little things like him not liking to sleep with the TV / radio on.
Another thing was a few times in the middle of the night I went to the bathroom to use the toilet I don't turn on the lights and ended up soaking my bottom in the toilet water because he didn't put the toilet seat down wasn't a huge deal but it was beyond gross.
for my SO it was the knowledge that I like to sleep with all the windows open during the winter so the house is cold but I like to cover with all the blankets.
another thing that he wishes he knew was that I like to rotate my bed and the side I sleep on according to this season.
I have friends with way more serious issues then mine. What are some of the things that you wish you knew or you had to work through with your SO?
OMG I wish I knew that my husband uses a clean plate for *everything* he eats, even a slice of bread. I have never washed so many dishes in my life. It drives me crazy.

There used to be a show on Bravo called Things I hate about you that dealt with this very issue.
As for me I wish I knew my ex-wife (the fact she was insane aside) had the annoying habit of flipping between channels and watching multiple shows at once.
