And having INTIMACY with someone you love, oh well, thats probably the peak of happinnes you can experience. From the kiss to all the foreplay to the great sex, to looking at that person in the eyes while you are doing it, touch, share, achieve orgasm together. Its all such a magical experience that i would advice anyone to do it as soon as possible, to search for it.

Of course love haves downsides, tell me about it. Heartbreak is horrible, the potential of being very hurt is very scary, etc, but im a person that thinks that life is worth living for those amazing moments of happiness, and those moments of sadness that come with it, are just the price we pay for them. But life is ONLY worth living for those moments.

I find people that does not take chances to live the best things in life (even knowing failing and hurt are likely gonna happen) to be very COWARD.

I find people that takes chances and go after what they want and enjoy live to the fullest to be brave, interesting, and, frankly, the only people i wanna be surrounded by.

but to each its own.
sex is worth lowering standards and taking risks, because without it life is just existing in my opinion. What other things are there to look forward too as much as looking forward to sex.

There is something that happens that cannot be put into words. Contrary to the doom and gloom anti-sex remarks that get thrown around in here, not everyone who has sex gets pregnant and ends up with 37 STD's.
Well, i can put it all into words : Continue to play the sexually illicit game of using another for a copulation, and you WILL eventually get an STD or more...in addition to leading to other consequences for yourself (and others) . Instead of wanting to be god of your life, let God be God of your life ; no one has ever regretted disobeying the common lifestyle philosophies of our morally degraded Culture in exchange for the incredible things to come once entering into eternity with the very Creator of the Universe who is our personal Maker also. Its a pleasure to be rid of the ensnarement that our Culture calls 'fun and titillating' ---- the BIG lie.

Funny, I've never regretted my life either. I'm not religious at all. I'm happily married with a wonderful family.

I never wanted to worry about diseases, pregnancy or other associated relationship issues...

However people always tell me that I'm missing out, I'm not sure why they believe that I'm missing out. I'm very happy and content at this stage in my life. There is a possibility that at some point I will seek out a relationship, but currently, I'm not so much looking for one -unless I just happen to meet the right guy out of the blue.

Do most think that people who choose to forego relationships and sex are "missing out?"
Yes, I am inclined to think they are missing out.

But I am not so rude as to tell them that.

It's your life. If you're happy, that's all that matters.

Because dense people think that everyone thinks or should think as they do.

Lol. Sex is fun and all but wow, do you blow it out of proportion. If it's the be-all end-all of your life, perhaps you should reevaluate a few things. I'm looking forward to a week-long trip to Maui more than I am looking forward to having sex tomorrow night. There's just one quick example.

Careful, there.

You just made a few men on CD less happy.

Many of them are raising children alone or dealing with other issues as a result of being with the wrong person. I never wanted to be like them, so I chose to lead a very low stress lifestyle, that didn't involve personal relationships.

There are plenty of sacrifices involved w/ not having a relationship, but at this stage in my life, the stress free part, outweighs the intimacy or other good elements of relationships.
I think it's fine to be abstinent if that is what you want. However it does sound like fear and mistrust of men is your driving force, which translates into your "wanting" to be without. I don't think these are good reasons.

There are sacrifices and vulnerabilities in relationships, but this is life. For me, the pros of relationships outweigh the cons and I couldn't do without the intimacy. It would leave a hole in my life.
