Guy writes an article saying that the meaning of the word exotic is often misunderstood on the USA. Being exotic means being close to Americans but having just some differences. Talks about how men are perceived based on where they are from. Posts seems to have gotten a lot of likes but I found it racist and offensive.

Started laughing when he "explains" that Americans find a British accent exotic and Asians strange.

WTH?

I think I read Asian accent which I do agree with. Have seen college girls make fun of the Chinese accents openly.

Well, they probably make fun of a lot of other stupid things too.

true but you will be looking hard to find women who aren't into the british accent

there he does make a point, American women generally find some accents more attractive than others, I don't see how anyone who has experienced life can disagree with this

Sure I find some accents more attractive than others. But that has no bearing on whether I find it exotic.

White American women prefer white men from Europe before Asian men because they are culturally similar? I'd assume as much, why wouldn't that be true?

Well, I can tell you most women I know wouldn't categorize a British accent as exotic. I like the sound of a British accent, but they are very similar to us, nothing exotic about them.

I don't like the sound the Cantonese, but like Mandarin, and find none of them strange.

True I understand where you are coming from but what the author is saying is that a man with those accents will face a lot more troubles attracting women in the US. Of course people on this forum feel the need to sugarcoat it and say things like race don't matter. I just disagreed with how the author pretty much said minorities have a tough time when plenty of women out there love Black men.
