Out of curiosity, are there any of you that are in a relationship opposites? Such as: He likes huge everything, she likes small everything.

It's not something we argue about, if anything, we talk it out and put our point of view forth. Usually, what is necessary comes first, sometimes what is wanted rather than needed is chosen.

She loves a big truck that we have no reason to get, I love a small, efficient car. She wants a big house with a big backyard and I like apartment living with less than 1000 square feet. To me, It is easier to have a bunch of unnecessary junk if you have more space. If you limit that space, chances are, you will have only the important or necessary items. We have two adults, a 4 year old, a black lab, and two cats that don't like the dog at all. In a small area, it can't feel cramped if the area isn't used efficiently, but that is where you get creative. If I had it my way, we would have a house the size of our living room, but that will never happen haha.

So the questions here are
Are there any of you that are in a relationship opposites?
How do you come up with your final decisions?
Which person are you and why do you prefer your preference?

Jack Sprat could eat no fat
His wife could eat no lean
And so betwixt the two of them
They licked the platter clean

Jack ate all the lean,
Joan ate all the fat.
The bone they picked it clean,
Then gave it to the cat

Jack Sprat was wheeling,
His wife by the ditch.
The barrow turned over,
And in she did pitch.

Says Jack, "She'll be drowned!"
But Joan did reply,
"I don't think I shall,
For the ditch is quite dry."

Wouldn't this thread be "more at home" in the Relationship Forum? Really?

When one is more talented in design then they win out over the other's likes. That's how I play it anyway.

As time passes, your differences will be more difficult to resolve.

You have the same two choices every married man has. You do whatever it takes to make the wife happy, as long as you can afford it, or you get real cozy in your 700 Sq ft apartment all my yourself.
If you have been married long enough to have a four year old child, surely you must already know that....
Do you enjoy being married, or would you rather be single? Pretty clear choice.
