For some reason obese men hit on me and it's almost always followed with a comment like "nice to see a woman in shape". Then when I tell them no they get mad like how dare I. I don't happen to be attracted to obese men for the most part but maybe I would be if he was nice. These guys who hit on me rarely are and most make comments about large women.

Fat, large, chunky, overweight, obese (which is a BMI above a certain level, but still in the range of excess adipose tissue), big, husky, big and beautiful...no matter how we try to change it or make it sound nicer, it all means the same.

agreed!

OP's wife is gorgeous, by the way. I am genuinely happy for them. They are good looking happy couple.

That she is, but she would most likely look that good if she was thinner too. I would easliy ask someone that looked like her out and show her off!

You see, I've been verbally abused by my grandmother, and so have my brother.

She has told us, "You are ugly, worthless, useless, stupid.." etc, etc, etc.

My brother and I believed her when we were younger although we were constantly been complimented by our parents and strangers that we were "gorgeous, smart, talented" etc, etc, etc. Life was certainly confusing.

Then, I finally discovered the truth! My grandmother was abandoned by my white grandfather, he was a talented exceptional true artist who happened to be left handed (I am left handed too )

She hated me because I reminded her of something she couldn't have - the only man she truly loved

Some people bash others simply because they are jealous! Their problem, not mine!

Maybe those people say they hate fat chicks have been rejected by bigger beautiful women, you never know! Maybe they are just unhappy jealous people!!

I had one of those grandmothers. Mine was mean as a snake. I think she had some skeletons in her closet (Like real ones. There was a boyfriend in her past that turned up dead). Fortunately it didn't affect me other than me being pissed off at her. My siblings and cousins may have a different opinion though.

Could be, or just hearing you are less than desirable compared to thinner people.
