Without any medical issues, I would say depression.

Yes, people in their 50s and 60s can and do fall as madly in love as teenagers .

Interesting. I sure as hell hope I don't. I was an idiot as a teenager and am much happier with the saner, more balanced dating/love approach I've had in my 30's.
