Yeah, that's probably my range for kids. As soon as they turn 18 though make sure Mikala keeps true to her promise of rolling my ass into the ocean. Don't want to be paying tuition for 2-4 kids! Not going to lie though I have a 529 account already opened and my bank automatically transfers a bit of cash in there. I figure if I plan ahead like this then I will be in good shape financially.

I am finance guy so I am obsessed to the point I love reading about this stuff all day and playing with my calculator.

401 k, that college one I forget the name of, gerber, mutual funds are good, you can still cash in bonds, many have vanguard,scholarships, ect.

Are we gonna get all heady and start talkin about investing..... cause last I read there was talk about tampons and shyt like that.......LOL

429's are the ones for colleges...

Mutual funds are excellent and a much safer vehicle for your money. Helps spreads the risk rather than just investing in individual stocks. Luckily I got into healthcare when the stocks were cheap thanks to uncertainty. Now they are doing fairly well.

Vanguard is the best place to go for Mutual Funds and other investment related products. Also I use Charles Schwab! They are great!
