Don't ever get involved with a man in his mid 30's who has never even been engaged.

He''ll run at the first sign that a relationship is work.

I had to learn this the hard way

I am close to my mid-30s and I've never been engaged.

You're wrong. You just met a guy who didn't like to put work into a relationship. I've never been this way.

Oh lordy. Why are so many people overly dramatic after a break up?

So, its OK if they ran as long as they were engaged first.

Guys, do yourselves a favor and don't get involved with a woman who eschews responsibility for her choices in life.

She'll blame you for everything and ignore her part in it.

Well, That's disappointing.

I've never been in a relationship. Hell, I haven't even lived in the same state/country for longer than 6 Months at a time in last 10 years due to snowboarding and the first 5 years of my current career. I'm dating now since I'm in a stable place in life and actually see a point in having a relationship.

This could be why I'm struggling so much (Really, it's due to being awkward and new to the game) but this kind of nonsense doesn't help me!

You're an unusually good guy prince. You don't count ..and I never meant this in absolutes..just generally. My best friend went through this too with an older guy. I guess I should have paid attention to his commitaphobe signs. I always questioned him on that too and he said he enjoys relationships..lies.
