I've relocated to a new city and I'm interested in establishing a relationship. It gets rather lonely going to shows, movies and dinner by myself. I do not like bars or clubs, so I avoid those places. I do enjoy going to cultural theater performances, independent movies, book stores and coffee houses, but sadly, I haven't met anyone as of yet.

I get a few looks from attractive guys, but none have struck up a conversation with me. I'm in my early 30s and feeling a little saddened by the fact that I'm not in a relationship. I should add that I would prefer to avoid online dating. I like the idea of meeting a nice guy the old fashioned way.

Needless to say, I haven't had much luck, so I'm interested in knowing where you met your special someone.

Met my wife through online dating.

Which does not make me a huge proponent of it. However, if used as one of many ways to try and meet people, it can for some people be helpful. However, it's not for everyone. You have to really know yourself, and what your looking for, be able to articulate that on the site, and quickly identify whether the people you are communicating with know the same things (themselves and what they want).

I've met men I have dated anywhere from the park to parking lots so meeting someone you end up dating cannot be pinpointed to one of several locations.

I think that I'm an attractive and friendly person, but for some reason, I haven't been approached.

" where did you meet your husband, fiance or boyfriend?"

I really regret being so introverted during my college years. I think college is the best place to meet a good guy, but I can't go back in time.

She was dating a then business contact of mine 13 or so years ago when I first met her. Nothing special, just another person in a very long line of people who would come through the door every now and again.

Years later she was out of the relationship and thus lost her contact to our field of work, she contacted me for work related opportunities.

I couldn't help her at the time but it kicked off the point where we started talking and becoming close
