If your not religious then why would you car about those things between consentual adults. It's really their business.

I see no reason to think marriage has anything to do with when people choose to have sex. Certainly due to the relationship I am in - where marriage simply is not an option that is available to us - the notion of sex after marriage would either preclude sex - or preclude our relationship entirely. But it has not - and not only is there plenty of sex - there is as of a week and a half a second child.

Thankfully less and less people seem to do so. And more and more people evaluate whether there is _actually something wrong_ with an action rather than simple take the word of some bronze aged author alien to modernity.

I would not think that some of them are all that terrible at all. I see nothing wrong with most of them per se - though clearly each one is an umberella term for a large variety of activities - some of which I am entirely against - and some of which I see no problem with at all.

Personally, after a certain age it doesn't matter. I can understand (from a parent's POV) that it applies to teens and early 20 somethings, but after a point its moot.

That depends. I think its fine and preferable for everyone in the world except my daughter. For her, I say wait until after marriage.

Well, there is another thread from a guy who's Mom was 14 when she had him.

That's just one reason.

STDS,

Morals....

There's just a couple.

What could be possibly wrong with (outside of conventional religious beliefs) two consenting adults having sex together?

Wrong? Not by any objective standard.

Of course, some people will perceive it as wrong for a variety of reasons that generally have little logical foundation, such as Bronze Age scribblings in an ancient book chock full of nonsensical rules and dictates.

For real, Disney makes more sense than some ancients ruling the life of current mankind.

This poll is kind of biased/incomplete, given that there are plenty of folk who consider that marriage is unnecessary or optional and a number of people are not okay with marriage at all and think it should be banned due to its outdated practices and norms on property handling or presumption of paternity.

Making a question about "sex before or after" marriage" in the way it's done in this poll is thus excluding them from the equation, given that it implies that marriage must be the final result of a long-term relationship.
