In terms of dating, I swear by OKCupid and their matching system. It's free and people are actually there to meet people, not just chat for the most part.
Personally, I find it REALLY creepy when people add me on Facebook or Myspace who I don't know... those are both more for people you already known (especially facebook) IMO. They both tend to have more personal information on them than what you would find on a dating site, so I know most of my friends don't add random people or respond to random messages.
So why is their information public then for me to see? It is a social network.
Creepy? LOL how old are you? 16? I am an adult adding on another adult from my college campus, not random underage kids. Creepy is really harsh and inappropriate.

Nah, I can agree with her. I only have a facebook account to keep in touch with family. (myspace is for EQ junky friends ) ...so, my facebook has albums of my lil' brother rock climbing around the world. I stop in and check on him and send him a note every once in awhile.
I find it rather out of place and creepy when some random person I don't know tries to add me or write on my wall (what wall? I don't understand facebook, bah!) I never respond.
well, you are not being very empathetic towards me.
First of all, I don't add on people that have a photo album of just a little brother.
I add on gay people that go to my college campus, that are interested in dating and relationships. Since I am gay, there is a more difficult chance to meet other gays. Does that make sense. It is a means of social networking with other gays. Not a means to freak or terrorize people out of their minds LOL. Most people are not stalkers or killers FYI. You are not that famous or popular enough to have one, literally, mostly only rock stars and semi-famous people have stalkers, or sometimes your crazy ex-boyfriend could be a stalker.
Creepy to me means when an adult adds on or tries to befriend people that are way underage and then tries to meet them. That is creepy. Do you understand now? I am not creepy for trying to social network.
I am also not writing on people's walls that I don't know.
So, we are different people. We use facebook for different reasons.
