Why do people keep denying the truth of the human mammal. Men key off of looks and women key off of resources and ambition. Of course there are exceptions and there are other attractive qualities but theses are at the top of most lists and are dealbreakers for most.
Usually true, but for both women and men. Most people marry people within their economic class, regardless of gender.
Yes, this. Published data about married people bears this out. Romantic notions about high-profile executives marrying wait staff are anomalies at best.
Yes, generally the OP's question is true. The woman Physician does not want to marry a plumber, or someone who can't do better than working at Walmart. Most women want to raise their socioeconomic status, not lower it when they marry. Marriage today is far more merging of assets and economic goals and ambitions than love and romance.
Well of course every woman knows you are supposed to have a guy bring in copies of his taxes for the past 7 years or paycheck stubs. You do that at the same date where you are supposed to bring your medical records showing your beauty is real, have had no plastic surgery or bodily augments, and you are fertile to bear his children.
If you were an alien from another world who just got here and you read these posts here, you'd think this logically is what happens on every date.
Okay, in reality someone hit on it earlier. People tend to date "like" that means, there are exceptions, but most people tend to date those who are in the same socioeconomic class, same culture, same national identity, etc. Why? Well, those are the people you are around and meet for the most part. If you are Joe middle class going to Joe middle local softball fields on the weekend... who is going to be there? Jane middle class who plays on the neighborhood softball team too. If you are Joe rich and go to the fanciest clubs in town, who's going to be there? Jane rich who can also afford to go. It's not rocket science. Or if you go to a church in your neighborhood every Sunday and there are eligible people of the opposite sex who go to the church coffee socials... who are you going to run into? Someone probably of similar culture and religion. Really, this isn't rocket science.
Generally true. Similar to the men dating younger women thread, this is usually true.
True, and excellent comparison, because I'd suspect they're true in about the same quanitity/percentage.
