I don't like when my boyfriend is friends with other women. I'm afraid he'll cheat on me with them. He said he would never cheat on me but I don't really believe him. I don't like acting jealous and I'm afraid if I keep acting this way I'll push him away. I'm just looking for answers on what to do about this.

You really should've worked on this before you got into a relationship with him.

You need to realize you cannot control him nor can you control the actions of other women. If you feel uncomfortable in a relationship and you are always suspicious of your partner you shouldn't be with them.

That's just my opinion.

You do not trust your partner. Big no no.

You have two choices

1) Leave your partner and find someone more trustworthy

or

2) Go see a professional and get over your insecurities

This is your problem, so you have to take responsibility for it.

Start by building up your self-esteem and self confidence.

There are plenty of good books and info on how to do that on the internet - do some research

You are your own worst enemy. Secure women trust. Insecure women cause their fears to come true.

So if I keep believing he'll cheat on me then he will?

Why do you believe he'll cheat on you?

If your boyfriend really liked these other women then why wouldn't he be with them? He chose to be with you, not them.

I am on record in this forum stating that I don't think exes should really be good friends, and I have been jealous in the past (not to this extent). But I am staunchly against anyone in a relationship telling their partner that they are not allowed to have friends of the opposite sex. Your jealousy is indicative of a possessive nature and of insecurity. Both things can be addressed by a therapist.

It's not necessarily true that he will cheat because you fear he will, but it is true that, if he's secure and normal, he'll probably eventually leave you due to your jealousy. So you need to address that.
