I am an assertive person, and at first my assertiveness seemed to be the type of thing my ex needed to get his butt in gear. Unfortunately, I eventually realized that he was using me as a crutch, like someone else pointed out.
Maybe some people benefit from having a significant other/spouse who takes care of the details in their life, but that's not somewhere I want to go again. If a man can't take care of his own ish, he's not the man for me.
If a woman tried to push me into doing things I don't like, I'll push her...right out of my life. I have no time for women who are too pushy.
