My wife and I, when we first got serious, made a pact that if we were sleeping in the same bed, we were nude, even if we had no plans for sex that night. We both felt it increased intimacy, and made touching, cuddling, etc nicer. We would either go straight to bed nude, or end up that way if she wanted to wear some lingerie, but then she didn't put it back on after we took it off...
We don't do it now much because of the kids coming into our room at all hours, but we still do if we have an overnight getaway or something.
Some couples think the idea is weird, gross, or just cold/uncomfortable, but since we were both the type of people that often slept naked even when alone, it seemed natural.
That's not wise, you have to wash the sheets more and unless you are rich and have a maid and can replace your sheets whenever, its not a good idea. It's fine to fall asleep naked after sex but you should wear underwear to keep your sheets clean if you don't plan on hiding the salami.

That's what a lock on the door is for. Have you also completely given up on sex for 18-20 years because of the kids coming into your room at all hours?
I don't sleep nude, even when alone. I'm a big fan of pajamas.

Most parents I know would feel terrible if their child was sick or scared and couldn't get to them because of a locked bedroom door. Kids who are still nursing often sleep in the parents' bed/room as well.

Interestingly. I've rarely lived in houses that have locks on bedroom doors. My childhood house certainly didn't have them.

Dude. You're doing it wrong.
I think his point was they prefer to have some sort of underwear on if the kids come into the room and need them in the night.
