Even though it's ostensibly about "being a man", I've always thought Rudyard Kipling's "If" is great advice to anyone about being a real person, man or woman: If by Rudyard Kipling : The Poetry Foundation
-emotionally intelligent
-respects herself and others
-doesn't b*tch about every little thing
-dresses appropriately (not too sexy & not too frumpy)
-uses her brain instead of looks
-loves herself
-takes care of her man's needs
A real woman? A mature, well adjusted adult female.
